Science Fair Projects

DO SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS ACTUALLY HELP "TEACH" SCIENCE?
   ___________________________________________________

I think that science fair projects help teach up to a certain point. For me, I learn science better the old fashion way. When I research for projects there is so much information out there that I rely do not know what information is true and what is fake. If the teacher explains and uses books I have a better resource, and I get to ask questions for things I don't understand. Some students are like me, I get too busy or I struggle with procrastinating, that I don't do good with long projects. Others may find this as a way to learn and have fun, it just depends how you learn better. =)

Thanks for your post and your honesty. It is a point of view that others have not really expressed. Once students get into the project they are actually learning. Science fair projects teach you how to process information, document data, and improves your critical thinking skills. Like you said, they are kind of what you make out of them.
